2R6A9693Yenda Producers’ team of expert horticulturalists work with members to share their expertise, advice, and guidance. They are available by phone or in-person at any of our four branches, and can travel to your property and farm for on-site analysis and discussion. This service is popular and in demand, demonstrating that our members and farmers work in a community where knowledge and experience are readily shared.

Our horticulturalists are available to develop custom plans for our clients and their crops to address a variety of needs. They provide horticultural advice from start to finish with established local knowledge, advise growers using the latest technology, and offer planning services to create cropping programs, establish costs, goals and outcomes.

Our horticulturalists also provide the following services: plant nutrition management; soil and leaf testing; farm mapping; budgeting; supplying satellite imagery and interpretation; and Variable Rate Prescriptions for all types of inputs including fertilisers, soil amendments, herbicides and growth regulators.

Our horticulturalists are experts in the following crops:
Permanent plantings such as grapes, stone fruit (plums, apricots, nectarines), nuts (almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts) and citrus.
– Annual crops; cucurbits (rockmelon, watermelon, honeydew, pumpkin), potato, sweet corn, beetroot, tomato, capsicum, onion, garlic, carrot, broccoli, cauliflower, broccolini, and lettuce.
– Smaller scale specialist crops: vegetable seed crops, greenhouse hydroponic tomato, pomegranate, table grape, chilli, and fig.
